What is CSSBuy
CSSBuy is a buying agent. You give it a link to something on a Chinese marketplace, it buys the item, receives it at its own warehouse, photographs it, holds it as long as you need, and then ships it to your country. That is the entire proposition.
The problem an agent solves
The large Chinese marketplaces are built for people living in China. Taobao, Tmall, JD, 1688 and Weidian between them list an enormous amount of stock, and most of it will never reach you directly. Sellers ship domestically. Payment expects a Chinese method. Support happens in Chinese, on Chinese apps, during Chinese hours.
An agent stands in that gap. It has the address, the payment methods and the language. You are renting all three.
CSSBuy handles Taobao, Tmall, JD, 1688, Weidian, Yupoo, WeChat, No.1, VIP Shop and Dangdang. The first five are the ones most people use. The rest matter when you are following a seller who only posts on a photo album or a messaging app, which happens more often than newcomers expect.
What CSSBuy adds after the purchase
Buying is the easy half. The half that matters is what happens between the seller posting your parcel and you receiving it.
When goods arrive at the warehouse, CSSBuy inspects appearance and size and photographs the result. If something is wrong they contact you rather than shipping it on. Items bought from 1688 are checked against a different standard, which is worth knowing if you are ordering wholesale rather than retail.
After inspection the item waits. Storage is free for 90 days, counted from the moment an order reaches the In Warehouse status. You can extend past that for a small monthly fee per order. That waiting period is not dead time. It is what lets you buy from six sellers over three weeks and pay international postage once.
The four services, and when each applies
CSSBuy splits its offering into four named services. Most people only ever use the first one, but knowing the other three saves you from assuming something is impossible.
Buy For Me
The default. You supply a link or search inside CSSBuy, they buy it. This is what the ordering walkthrough covers.
Ship For Me
For when you bought something yourself and had it sent to the CSSBuy warehouse. They receive, store and forward it.
Expert Buy
For items the search cannot find, or listings that exist only as a photo album with no proper product page.
Contact Seller
For asking a question in Chinese before you commit: stock, colours, measurements, whether a batch has changed.
Who actually operates it
CSSBuy publishes two operating entities in its own site footer. One is ROYA MIDEAST LTD, company number 16048743, registered at 69 Aberdeen Avenue, Cambridge, England CB2 8DL. The other is Tao Yigou e-commerce Co., Limited, registration number 76871869, at RM 509, 5/F The Cloud, 111 Tung Chau Street, Tai Kok Tsui, Hong Kong.
The company describes itself as having started five years before that page was published, and states a customer base in the low millions. We are repeating their claim rather than verifying it, because there is no independent register that would let anyone check a figure like that.
The registration numbers are checkable, and that is the more useful detail. An agent that publishes a company number in a jurisdiction with a public register is making a different kind of statement than one that publishes nothing.
Payment, languages and support

The currency point is worth dwelling on. Seeing a price in your own currency is a convenience, not a lock. The real transaction is in yuan and the conversion happens at whatever rate applies when you pay. If a number looks slightly different from what you remembered, that is usually why.
There is an app, and it matters more than you would think
CSSBuy publishes a mobile app for both platforms. On a site like this the obvious reaction is to skip past that, because who wants another shopping app.
The reason it is worth having is timing. Two moments in this process are time limited and both arrive without warning: the QC photos, which start a seven day return clock, and the storage window, which runs for 90 days from the In Warehouse status. Both are easy to miss if you only check when you happen to remember.
Push notifications turn those from things you have to remember into things that tell you. That is the whole argument.
